Our Northern Peru birding tour explores one of South America’s premier birding destinations, home to an extraordinary diversity of habitats and one of the continent’s highest concentrations of endemic birds. From the ancient Tumbesian dry forests and endemic-rich Marañón Valley to the lush cloud forests of Abra Patricia and the spectacular high Andes, this carefully designed itinerary visits some of Northern Peru’s most celebrated birding locations.
Throughout the tour, we target an outstanding collection of northern Peruvian specialties, including iconic species such as White-winged Guan, Marvelous Spatuletail, Long-whiskered Owlet, Gray-bellied Comet, Yellow-scarfed Tanager, and Great Spinetail, along with hundreds of other Andean, Amazonian, and Tumbesian birds.
